Today we had a surprise guest author Jacquelin Woodson! She read us "Pecan Pie Baby" a realistic fiction picture book about a little girl whose mother is having a baby. It was like having a super hero in the classroom!

We had our first four winds science lesson...insects! The children watched a puppet show about insects and bugs, identified several different types of insects, sang about the parts of an insect and made edible insects!
