Happy New Year! We had a wonderful last week together in December and the first week in January.

We're all set for an exciting event. The class will be performing in the lip sync battle! Please mark your calendars for Friday, January 24th, at 5:00 PM. If your student can't make it, please let me know. We're all geared up to learn the song and its moves.   

We value your child's participation in the lip sync battle. If, for any reason, they can't join, please let me know. Your involvement is key to making this event a success.

Meet Our New Student Teacher:

Hello Families,

My name is Emily Rogers, and I am thrilled to be a student teacher in Mrs. Cody’s classroom this semester! I’m completing my Elementary Education Degree at Norwich University and am excited to continue working with this amazing class.

I had the wonderful opportunity to complete my practicum in Mrs. Cody’s classroom this fall, allowing me to get to know the students and start building connections. Since I’m not a stranger to the class, I’d love to share more about myself!

I was born and raised in Glover, Vermont—about an hour north of Montpelier. My passion for teaching began at a young age, and I’ve been gaining experience ever since, from helping my dad coach 3rd-5th basketball in my free time to taking education-focused early college courses in high school. During my time at Norwich, I’ve completed over 400 hours in classrooms at Barre Town School and Union Elementary, which has prepared me for this exciting final placement.

I’m beyond excited to continue learning from Mrs. Cody and all the students in her class!
