Kinder News #9 December 18th

 Kinder News, 


Hello friends…the kids are all doing amazing and making so much progress!  We have a busy schedule this week especially with a shorter week.  Please remember to send flashlights with fresh batteries for Wednesday (extra flashlights would be great).


Please send in permission slips for the lip sync battle if you have not done so already.  Please email me if your child is not able to participate.  lipSync Battle Permission Slip

  Day in the Dark    

On Wednesday, December 21 the kindergarten classes will have a “Day in the Dark” to reinforce learning about day and night, including solstice - the shortest day and longest night of the year!  If possible please send in some flashlights (each child will need one for the day).

We will return your items that day. Please label all items sent to school. If you have any questions, just let us know.


ECO:

Our next ECO will happen in February.  Last week we made tea using a kettlepot and collected small sticks for the fire.  We listened to the book The Tea Party in the Woods.

ECO Animal Movements

We had a great two weeks..one before vacation and one after!  We started many new learning routines such as reading menus and reading groups.

We have ECO on Tuesday, December 6th.  We will walk over to Harrison at 8:30-10:30.  Please make sure you help your child dress for the weather (Rainy/low 30s high 42).  We go to ECO every other Tuesday.  This will be our last ECO till the new year!  We will have some tea at ECO.

ECO Story Time Bird Migration


Hello kinder families,

We had an amazing two weeks.  They earned a gem celebration for being kind, safe and responsible…we will have an extra choice time in the morning on Monday!

Montpelier Fire Department Visits for fire safety!


ECO:

We have ECO on Tuesday, November 15th.  We will walk over to Harrison at 8:30-10:30.  Please make sure you help your child dress for the weather (Cloudy low 20 high 40).  We go to ECO every other Tuesday.  Future ECO DATES for 2022 include 11/1, 11/15, 11/29, 12/06, and 12/20.  We typically do not go out in January.
