Kinder News #14 March 10, 2024

 Kinder News: 

It's been another couple of great weeks in kindergarten. The playground is very muddy, so I suggested boots and rain paints if possible.

Important Dates:

Thursday, March 21 Early Release Day

Friday, March 22: No School Teacher/Caregiver Conferences (link for appointments will be sent out on Monday, March 11 by the UES office)

Tuesday, March 19th, ECO Harrison Field -Please Check the weather

Literacy Snapshot:

Digraph Combinations with h - th, sh, ch, wh, also -ck at the end of a word

Bonus letters (s, f, l) like in the words floss, moss, tall, puff

Bossy R (or, er, ir, ur, ar) r takes control of the vowel sound

Questions to Ask your Kinder:

What is a number bond?  Can you make a number bond?

How can you include others?  

How do you spell the sight words you and are?

Practice spelling your last name.

How can you tell the difference between b and d?

What clue can you use to decide if it is a c or k when spelling?

What is the silent e rule?
