Kinder News #11 January 22, 2023

 Kinder News,

We had a wonderful week.  Here is a snapshot of the last two weeks and some important updates.  Please remember to label all clothes…it really helps!  We are also running low on emergency snack donations (gold fish, applesauce, other food donation ideas -peanut free).  Thank you for all of your support.

Please remember we are performing in the lip sync battle as a class! Please let me know if your student will not be able to attend.  We are working very hard to learn the words and moves to our song.   Here is the song and dance we are using -if possible perhaps your child can practice at home!

Please send in permission slips for the lip sync battle if you have not done so already.  Please email me if your child is not able to participate.  Lipsync Permission Slip

Meet Our New Student Teacher:

Hi everyone!

My name is Lily Parker and I will be student teaching with Dena Cody from January to the end of April. I grew up locally in East Montpelier and will be graduating from Norwich University this spring. Currently, I live in an apartment in Montpelier with my boyfriend and lovable cat. My hobbies include snowmobiling, fishing, kayaking, swimming, spending time with family and friends, hanging out at my parent’s camp, and volunteering at community events(primarily in East Montpelier). For as long as I can remember, it has been my dream to become a teacher and help young students discover a love for learning. One of my favorite quotes is from a Chinese philosopher named Confucius. He stated “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” While this definitely rings true to me, my goal as an educator is to have students develop a love for learning that is so strong, they choose to further their education out of curiosity rather than obligation. Over these next few months, I look forward to getting to know each of your children as they teach me the skills I need to educate a multitude of students throughout my career.

Sincerely,

Lily Parker
