Kinder News #4 October 2

 Kinder News,

Our First ECO 


Hello kinder families!  We had a wonderful two weeks in kindergarten.  We had another gem celebration last friday…an extra recess!  The kids are all so kind, safe and responsible.  They are amazing at keeping our classroom super clean.


Important Dates:

Tuesday, October 4th ECO at Harrison Field 8:45-10:45 (Cloudy low 31 high 64)

Friday, October 7th School Closed (Inservice Day)

Monday, October 10th School Closed (Indegencous Peoples’ Day)

Monday, October 17th Picture Day

Monday, October 31st Pumpkin Day (small pumpkin)


Pumpkin Day and Apple Donations:

We will have pumpkin day on October 31. We will use pumpkins for math, literacy and science!   We are looking for small pumpkin donations…the smaller the better!  Each child needs their own pumpkin.. extra donations are greatly appreciated.  We also need apple donations.  We are using apples for science and cooking for the next couple of weeks.  Thank you for your support!


ECO:

We have ECO on Tuesday, October 4th  We will walk over to Harrison at 8:30-10:30.  Please make sure you help your child dress for the weather (rainy low 31 high 64).  We will learn about sit spots in the forest this week.

Practiced Proper Number Formation 0-10

Played spin a number to win

Played apple tree math game with a partner

Started using ten frames for representing a number

Continued our work with teen numbers 11-16 (10+4)
