Morning Message #36

Hello Friends,
Today is Tuesday, May 12th, 2020.

Chick Report:🐥
Today is day 14 of our chick incubation. I just turned the eggs this morning.  When I turned them today they felt a little bit heavier!   Why do you think they are feeling heavier? The incubator did need some water. The temperature was just 99 degrees Fahrenheit.

Here is today's Daily Special

Math (20 Minutes):
Here is the link to Freckle.  Please look to the 🐓rooster and 🦁 lion for your activities. We are working on adding and subtracting today at your own level.  Last week our class answered over 800 questions...way to go! I have a quick math practice from Mrs. Cody today.  Digit is another way to say number...34 has two digits 3 and 4.  Can you pick a 2 digit number?  Write it down, write it very small, write it very big, and write it very silly.  Please send me pictures of your number.

Literacy:
Login to Lexia for 15-20 minutes
Read for 30 minutes or more. Here is a story read by Mrs. Cody.
I have never gone outside to look for a fox but I have gone outside to find birds and other small woodland creatures.  What kinds of creatures do you like to look for when you go outside?

Additional Activities Science and Writing:
The heart word this week is "here."  Can you tap this word out on your arm?  I attached a song at the bottom of the morning message.  Mrs. Cody sings the song Springtime with you.

Today’s problem solver is about…CHICKENS!
Today I have a Which One Doesn’t Belong featuring chickens.  Look at the chickens below and decide which one DOESN’T belong with the other three.  What makes that chicken different from the rest?

Have a fantastic day! 💗Mrs. Cody
